Lubaantun, translated from Maya to English, means "place of the fallen rocks". So named because the contruction method used to create the structures at Lubaantun is unique, in that each stone used was carefully measured and cut to fit snugly next to it's nearby block and does not use mortar. Over time the ground beneath Lubaantun may have shifted and some of these mortarless blocks began to fall.

Nim Li Punit is a small Maya site recently discovered in the Toledo District in 1978. Archaeologists have determined that Nim Li Punit was occupied from the Middle Classic Period (400-700 AD) through the Post Classic Period (800-1000 AD).

The Alliance Against AIDS was founded in 1997 and offers helpline and counseling services to those affected with HIV and AIDS. They also do pre-test and post-test counseling, as well as educational seminars and events.

It is a non-government, non-partisan and not-for-profit membership organization. Altun Ha is one of the most well known Maya archaeological sites in Belize. Altun Ha is located in the Belize District some 30 miles to the north of Belize City. The core area of Altun Ha contains some thirteen structures clustered within two Classic Period plazas.
