Carnival
Today, Belize had it's anual Carnival, which is a part of a month long celebrations that includes two major historical events in it's history. The Battle of St. George's Caye which occured on September 10, 1798 and Independence day which occurred on September 21st 1981.
Today's Carnival featured several children and Adult groups dressed in various costumes that depict several cultural and environment themes native to Belize. The Carnival paraded through the streets of Belize City and ended at "The Marion Jones Sporting Complex" where a huge party capped off the Carnival event. Here are some pictures of the 2006 Carnival.
